The Effects of Low FODMAP Diet on Leaky Gut

Mice fed a high FODMAP diet increased LPS lipopoly stackaride, a portion of the cell wall of bacteria that can trigger the immune system and also increased mast cell activation or said another way, increased activation of the immune system. A low FodMAP diet reversed these changes. This does not mean low FODMAP forever for everyone. It does mean similar to acute ankle sprain recovery, some time off of the ankle and then resuming normal activity is the way to go.
