The Sardinian Identity
As long as I was living outside Italy, I felt kind of Italian. My father and my mother's first language is Sardinian. But they only spoke Italian with me and with my brother. Back then in the 70s, it was considered shameful to speak in Sardinian. And so I ended up being fluent in Italian, German and English.
