The Four Phases of Trauma Laparotomy
The first sign of a neurogenic shock is mild tachycardia. In class two, when at least the ab site starts defining, you'll get narrowed pulse pressure. And usually the question is hypotension. So in damage control surgery, all you're doing is stop blood, stop GI spillage and then temporary abdominal closure. You bring them back to the ICU and resuscitate them. Then? 24 hours, you go back to the operating room if they're stable.
