i'm told that the pitch was, hay, stay out of it, cause if he loses, it's really close. If he loses, you'll get blamed like you were for george,. And he threatend to come at the last minute and then didn't. But there wasn't, you know, none of the candidates were saying, bring him in here. That's why, when i advise candidates, i say, be your own person. Run on your own. Have confidence in our ideas and our principles. Put the principles first."
