The third thing that you can do during a recession is diversifying your income. You don't want to lose one stream of income, especially if it's your main source. Now is the time to start doing within your jobs, maybe a little bit of upskilling or doing a course within your company. I was really fortunate in my previous job to be having weekly to fortnightly developments with people and that could be half an hour or an hour. And in those sessions, you really impact what they would want and what career growth looks like for them.
