How to Set Up a Film Editing Process
The first is the person really running the cutting room. And they're the general of the whole area. So yeah, typically I end up doing the hiring or I talk with my post supervisor if we're running out of people. We try and figure out what compressed format is going to work best for us. How much is the cinematographer planning on shooting? Is it going to be just tons of different cameras"? Then we run some tests with you, make sure that everything's coming through correctly from the lab who's processing it for us.
