The Benefits of Comedy
Comedy primes people to care about an issue. It's called the nerdy term for this is issue priming. And that's a particularly valuable when you're talking about heavy stuff like classified documents or the climate. I can give you a great example. In 2006 or seven, it was remarkable how much Republicans had turned against the Iraq war because of John Stewart comedy.
