I'm a Poor Learner, I Suppose.
I have terrible memory for a lot of things, including movies and books. And I think part of it is because I'm at least a lot more disdoctable than I think I am. We were interested in seeing hippocampal contributions to memory guided attention. Attention is also sometimes captured automatically if something, if you hear a loud noise or something jumps in front of you,. Your attention is going to be captured by that. But there's also been a lot of interest in how memories so our memories of past experiences guide what we pay attention to in a particular setting.
