The Main Harm of Political Gridlock
We have more veto points than any other advanced political democracy. We have the unbelievably disproportionate composition of the us Senate. There is no one else who runs a system the way we do. And importantly, this is not the system we have had in the past. It looks like it because we say we had republicans and democrats but they were not ideologically and demographically polarized in the way they are now. So i would always say that's a problem of our political system, but i wouldn't call it dangerous yet.
