Is the Internet a Greater Tool for State Control?
The internet can be used as a way to control dissidents, of controlling dialogue. It gives the illusion that when I search Twitter, I'm seeing what's out there,. What I'm really seeing is a curated space of what the folks at Twitter want me to see. As we lead more and more of our lives online, that becomes just a much, much greater danger than many people saw in the early to mid-90s.
