The Problem With Police and Wrongful Convictions
The problem with policing and wrongful convictions is that the police not only investigate a case, they're investigating in an adversarial system. You can't have a fox guarding the henhouse; there should be separate defense investigation. The police are also custodians of the evidence: So they decide what evidence,. the defense, the accused person's representatives get to see. Anybody can see that that's not going to work.
