I'm a Songwriter and I've Been Doing the Podcast for a While Now and I Think I'll Be Able to Do It Again.
I'm very conflicted about the idea of ambition because I can see the value in taking what you do seriously and wanting it to connect with as many people as possible. On the other hand it comes along with so much unhelpful unwanted crap that if you sort of give an inch you never get it back. It's a strange thing that we have these expectations of music that is meant to do a certain thing yes whereas we don't have that with more and more things but certainly not poetry or novels. People are always intrigued by the it's not blankness exactly but there's um you'll learn they often feel as if they're not doing the job that most people expect song lyrics to do
