We need to go eight decades back to find as bad a number from the michigan surveys. And we've never seen a consumer confidence print this low. Everyone's getting squeezed, but that it is being quantified to such an extent in the survey is really disheartening. This is really before we've seen any notable change in spending habits. In totality, we're seen changing in spending habits - i'm not building another dack in my back yard again and i'm not buying another exercise bike.
