i believe that one of the fundamental if you have a policultural society, you're not iceland. The vision of the aristocracy at its most benin is to turn everyone into aristocrats. That's kind of a beautiful vision in a way, but it's also a very hegemonic vision. It's a horrible fucking idea. All you're doing is, basically, when you try to sort of destroy these cultures. If you make it your business, you're basically turning this sort of defensive thing, which is meant to protect you, into an offensive thing. And you're basically all of the sort of fading class solidarity and class pride of your enemies who you're trying to defeat
