The Importance of Setting in Summer Swimming Leagues
The summer swim league in the DC area and in other areas as well, you're right, it is definitely based on a community pool. The parents run the meets. And so it's just a super fun and can get a little cultish too because really there's not much room for anything else during that very short six to eight week period. It gets literally and metaphorically hot during some of these meets.
