Gabbapentin and NSAIDs

There are some non-opioid options that will prevent some of those or avoid some of those side effects. I think rather than think about where Gabbapentin can't be included in terms of the surgery I would think more about things like patient characteristics. The risk factors that we talk about are things like old age and low GFRs So in those settings at the very least you should be thinking about modifying the dose. What seems to be a reasonable cutoff is somewhere around the age of 70 And again, not all 70 year olds are the same.
