Changes in Goldbladder Polyp Size

In 2022, members of the SIU were surveyed in an estimated combined total number of goldbladder imaging examinations exceeding 3 million. No respondents had ever seen a condunculated polyp smaller than 10 millimetre that was proven to be malignant. Updated follow-up and management recommendations have increased the size threshold for colostectomy and low risk morphology polyps to 15 millimetres. Previous guidelines recommended that threshold growth of 2 millimetres per year weren't entered to surgical referral. So why the fluctuations in polyps size? Well it depends on the cause of the polyp. For example, with cholesterol polyps, the cholesterol may dissolve and precipitate out of the pile solution
