The Fallibility of Human Beings
Libya is the story of Libya, like a confirmation of the supposed resource curse. I can't help but feel like Trump when talking about McCain and being like, well, I've referred guys who didn't get captured. It's not that they're great. It's just that they're men. Like they're still humans. And so the fallibility of human beings are in it. And they're say poor judgment or their ability to be misled by the people around them was part of his problem. But he also made the wrong decisions at a certain point. The nature of the Libyan state itself is deeply tied to the resource of oil. That's a key part of this story here
