Russia's Military Intervention in the Second World War Is a Great Myth
Putin's regime has gone into hyperdrive in promoting this vision of Russia as a great military power. And if you actually look at the history of Russian military performance, it's nothing more than defeat after defeat, stalemates and embarrassment. The Second World War is not the norm for Russia's military intervention. 500,000 Russian soldiers in one month were killed taking Berlin. It doesn't show a real strategic know-how or technological superiority to bury 500,000 people in a month. This shows the disregard for human life that is endemic in the ruling classes of Russia.
