i was trying to do wit genetic engineering of grapeso and wauld establishit. Basically that means learning how to a pudiana, learning how to identify useful genes in an existing greap variety. So this technology, by the time i went to u c Davis in 19 80, it was just barely getting started with any organisms at all. And if you have a crop that now has inherent resistance oto a disease or a pest, it means you don't have to spray chemicals on that its so underra it's so underrated, right?
