The Three Reasons Why We End Up Here
There are three broad reasons why we ended up here in terms of the communications situation. Long time scales means it's quite hard for newcomers to show that they're better because you don't find out for 20 years or whatever. As soon as you have large incumbents, it's a don't rock the boat, be all things to all people, kind of mentality. And then the third area is just, I think, the sense that investing is a purely technocratic discipline, like completely divorced from values sort of thing.
