Cuba and China in the Cold War

The Cuban position towards China was quite pro-Soviet though there was a flirtation after the Cuban Missile Crisis. Cuba has been symbolically important to China and for the US it's interesting the case of Cuba is sort of very attractive to both the US and China. The Chinese pragmatism is in fact non-ideological so I think they can and will engage with Cuba if Cuba is interested but so far it's been limited.
