Is the Investment Regime Not Terribly Useful to the Big Companies?
The investment regime gives small fry access to a system that compensates for their lack of economic clout and political clout. For multinational firms with genuine economic and political clout, they don't need the investment system. So I think it's important, since it's been exaggerated. It does employ lawyers. But the truth is, it's not that big a stake. And yet, increasing the number of states are pulling out of it.
