The Manhattan Project Atomic Bomb Explosion

People who had been in or near Hiroshima and Nagasaki began exhibiting strange symptoms of an unusual medical condition dubbed disease X. Seemingly healthy people would begin to feel ill and then drop dead of no obvious cause. The best doctors in Japan were unable to explain what caused the strange illnesses. On August 12, 1945, Groves issued orders to form Manhattan Project Atomic Bomb Investigating Groups. These groups Would travel to Hiroshima and Nag Osaka to study the results of the atomic bomb explosion.
