"I have unaddressed trauma in my past that's showing up like very volatile outbursts," Carlene says. "That language is very powerful over time because if I am something or something is happening to me, I have much less control over how I respond to it" The most horrifying thing about anorexia is the person who has it just doesn't see they are malnourished and need to eat more. 'You're worth isn't wrapped up in your ballerina,' she tells a young girl with anorexia.
