If you built good rapport with folks that you're interviewing, you really can ask them in a very direct questions. And their answers are oftentimes super helpful in figuring out if they're a good match. Good candidates generally will leave jobs in a good way. They'll be getting promoted either within the company or hired by a competitor or a customer and something.
