Every live stock animal in the u k, well interms of sheep and cattle, has a unique government assigned i dea number. The whole sheep must have an electronic idea attack, which can be read with an orifid der. And those sheep must be ear tags, latest by nine months of age, or when they leave the farm of their birth. Every time you move an animal to a new farm, you'l have to submit paper work to the government saying what farm its come from,. What animal it is, with the idea numbers and what farm it's going to. I'm all about transparency and traceability, but i'm not about compulsory, compulsory animal idea.
