Conservative party by its own actions has proven that it's in a different place to the parliamentary party. I think Boris Johnson's calculation part of this will be, does he push this to the membership and therefore he might stand a better chance of winning if he does? But one of the biggest hurdles that anybody but Boris Johnson will face is the lack of a mandate. If Boris Johnson were to become prime minister again, that argument is a much, much weaker one to make than it is if it's Rishi soon act or Penny Morden or indeed, or indeed anyone else.
