Ezra Pound - I Am Not Anti-Semitic

When Germany surrendered on May 8th, 1945, Ezra Pound gave the following statement which I really want to read to sort of demonstrate how old and curdled his mind was at this point. So here's what he said, I am not anti-Semitic and I distinguish between the Jewish user and the Jew who does an honest day's work for a living. The new Europe goes on now doing what American democracy in the clean sense of that word started doing when it made a declaration of independence. Now, you could probably see the parallel right there in the sense that like what in the world is Ezra Pound babbling about the Nazis are like the American founding fathers.
