Leaders could do a lot more to go out of their way to connect people to the people the their lives impact, no matter what you build. You can't necessarily change the comstructure of your company, if you work company, but you can advocate and chip along at things over a long period of time,. If you network internally and you build a case for your team, i'm certain that you can do something that's meaning ful and impactful for them. It just takes being influential, leading with influence, and knowing the problems you're solving for your boss. And then having the stomach to ask for reward in return, and passing that to your tame.
