The Government's Compromise on Housing

The Greens want $5 billion every year of direct spending, but you did say the other day that that was an initial offer. So what possible areas of compromise are there is it the amount of direct spending each year or if they do something for renters, then you could support. Well of course we're willing to negotiate and we've said that from the start. I should note on the $5 billion that as I think I said before, the government's own institution has said that we need $15 billion of investment every year in social and affordable housing. We think the federal government shipping in a third of that when they've found so much money for tax cuts for the rich and nuclear submarines
