Addictions and Compensating for Not Being Wanted
Buddhist concept of attachment comes into it, because you get attached to all these external things. Addictions are always about soothing the pain and I don't care what you addicted to,. It's always about soothing pain. So there's a lot of pain and when the pain breaks through, then you turn to external ways. And that whole was created by the trauma. Whether it's addictions or, you know, compensating for not being wanted demanding special attention because you didn't get the engine that you needed.
