We have so much data on our hands that we need people to help us analyze it. There's a ton of data, ok? And there's so that we still don't know about sea turtles. So i would suggest volunteering, net working with people, talking to scientists. If you're interested in doing that, email them and say, hey, i'd like to come volunteer for you. Do you have any space? Nice. Most the time, scientists will take you up on it.
