What Is the History of Radioactivity?
Nuclear bata decay was observed when radioactivity was discovered. Protons, so far as we can tell, are completely stable particles. Neutrons have a lifetime of about 15 minutes. A free neutron, not bound in a nucleus, simply decays to a proton, electron and ant neutrino. That process is an example af bata decay.
