The Importance of Quality Connections
Leaders think that showing empathy will make them less respected, less successful as a leader. What we want to talk about is quality connections where you accurately perceive the emotions and intentions of someone else and then act in an adaptive way. This came out of the whole George Floyd incident and on murder. And one of the things that we did was we suddenly realized we had to act boldly and in line do something really meaningful. We ended up putting together a de-escalation training for the police forces and similar and gave this away for free for a long time. In the end decided to actually build something that we would then make available to other folks because we started getting all this demand from the public
