What's the Good News of the New Testament?
The first evangelist went out within a graco roman culture. Good news has to do with a liberation from slavery, a liberation from exile. Read every book of the new testament. What do you find? Not serene, mystical musings. You hear people that want to grab you by the lapels and tell you good news. They're talking about the cross and the resurrection of jesus from the dead.
