A Brief History of the Mongols

The mongols were an extremely poor tribe. Their clothing was the skin of dogs and mice, and their food was the flesh of those animals and other dead things. They had cat eyes so narrow and piercing that they might have bored a hole in a brazen vessel. A young woman named Holan was actually not a mongol at all. She had been kidnapped in one of the frequent raids the different tribes waged against each other. In the year 11 62, she gave birth to a son, whom she named timuchin. There was something odd about timuchin's birth though. The mmongols were deeply superstitious.
