Ginley hamon is our africa correspondent, and i was told that it was in case we had kidnapped students. Which relly goes to show just how widespread the concern about kidnapping of students in nigeria. Andis is kidnapping the principal problem that nigeria has? Well, its only a very big problem. But unfortunately, there is a much broader set of problems. Really, much of the country is sliding towards ungovernability. There's an ongoing johandis insurgency in the northeast. There's rebellion brewing, once more in the southeast. Even the sea off the coast of nigeria really offers little respite the world's piracy hot spot as well.
