Cloud Optimized Point Clouds

We've recently adopted the cog forma cloud optimized gti format. We actually took essentially our whole raster archive and converted it to cogs, and made it so that our on demand services produce cogs in part to enable what you're talking about. Im howard butler's been on this podcast, and some of his colleages have been in on a new cog like format for point clouds. I think they're calling it c o pc. It should enable a lot of really interesting things once it's complete. But it's still early days.
