Sid caesar was a regular on the show. He wrote one episode, which he didn't get a writing credit for. Sid gave me lots of advice and we did lots of sketches together. I always heard with him, much like a peter sellers, that if they weren't in character, they didn't exist. The solid gold dancers were total pawns.
