A Novel About Desire and Yearning and Longing
i was really struck by that distinction that you make in the novel between desire which is very focused and yearning as something unfocused. It's similar to longing it involves again this kind of sense that you don't have what you need but also you have no particular way to pursue uh to pursue what you need, he says. This novel to me was really about exploring different ways to live with with want when you cannot pursue that want and krishan adds.
