The Demographic Dividend of Young Irish Workers
Young people in Ireland are being shafted by structural problems within the system. In Europe, on average, there are three workers to every one old person. Young Irish workers should be paying less taxes and having more after-cost income because they're supporting older people. But that's not the case. All those gains that should be accruing to young people have been taken away from them in rent. It's driving this wedge between the young and the old at every stage,. which is why the young are going to want to vote radical.
