Is There a Difference Between a Mother and a Father?

When we look at children, they don't have any choice but to learn. So what I try to do is have my students also pick like a hypothetical mother or father and emulate that person's way of speaking. And even when we're at a little bit of a lower level, we almost go through this evolution ourselves where maybe when we first start learning a language, we sound a bit like a caveman.
