The US Navy's Priority in Combating China's Advantages

The US Navy is designed purposefully and solely right now to sink other navies and specifically the Chinese Navy. The PLA Navy has a programmatic 20 year programmatic effort to put anti-ship cruise missiles on all their platforms including aircraft, submarines and from shore base. Without the PLA Navy they're never going to be able to fully take Taiwan or bomb it with ballistic missiles but won't be able to get boots on the ground in sufficient numbers so we don't want that to happen. Sinking the Chinese Navy is the sole purpose of the US Navy today according to Rear Admiral David Jones.
