There are already tracts that link columns together, that are in different parts of the brain. So what that means is that there's a tremendous amount of cortical structure already in place, but there's plasticity around that. And when i read that, i thought, well, that's part of the source of the archetypes thre's already an archetypal structure there as well as the sub cortical structures. You could say that like the kid already had within him not only the capacity to represent not only the monster, but the class of possible monsters. The fact that the problem wasn't monsters.
