The Death of Imo Essien
Imo Essien will visit with a cardiologist on Monday to undergo examination and help determine his next steps in a path to return. The point guard went down with little more than 13 minutes in play in the first half of Saturday's 81 to 75 win over Georgia Southern. Jones says the sophomore had trouble catching his breath. He was examined by medical staff, which was able to help him return to breathing normally and was able to return to the bench for a remainder of the game.
