Is There a Better Way to Prevent Crime?

Research shows that light plays a key role in reducing crime. The idea is that if you were to mug some one, say, when the sun is shining, they might see you coming and witnesses might be able to identify you later. So we're using daylight saving time as a natural experiment to measure the effect of nallihting. When that evening hour is dark instead of light, robbery s go up.
