Charles Forstick is co-author of the book Tussan Louvertour, a Black Jacobin in the Age of Revolutions. The Haitian Revolutionary said if there is to be liberty, it must be for all people. It didn't see freedom as a kind of gift from above. You know, under two-sense leadership, it had to be won by the enslaved masses themselves from below.
