The News Meeting

00:00

Introduction

James Harding brings you into the newsroom to hear arguments that happen in meetings just like this every day. Three journalists are going to pitch their top story of the week and together we're going to try and make sense of what the story actually is, why it matters and then which one of those stories should lead the news. We begin with moves to stabilize the global financial system including engineering a major deal to take over banking giant Credit Suites. There is without doubt a discriminatory culture right across the metropolitan police. The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Russia's Vladimir Putin. People who say that we were partying in lockdown simply do not know what they are talking about.
