The Battle of Richmond
In 1862, Robert Lee is put in command of what's called the army of Northern Virginia. But this is not an army that's in Northern Virginia right now. They are counting below the Pomunky River near Richmond. And they're essentially going to facing what could become a siege of Richmond. That eventually it will just become a question of time and his army will lose. So he goes on the offensive. He'll basically leave a very small part of his army to defend the city of Richmond. Then he takes the larger part of hisArmy and throws it against McClellan. This is when the Robert Lee that we know from history really takes off.
